Updates on Alzheimer’s Disease: What You Need to Know with Greta Brown, Manager of West Tennessee Programs and Education Alzheimer’s Association

Greta Brown, West Tennessee Manager of Programs and Education for the Alzheimer’s Association, will share with us the latest information on Alzheimer’s Disease, including its research and treatment. While this common form of dementia can impact people as young as in their 30s and 40s, the majority are typically senior adults 65 and older.

As Manager of Programs and Education, Greta is responsible for coordinating and extending Alzheimer’s education and support programs to citizens and organizations throughout Western Tennessee. Additionally, her role includes developing and maintaining strategic relationships with community partners, including health, faith-based, government, civic, and corporate organizations, to achieve the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission.

When it comes to our overall physical and mental fitness, it’s important to let our minds and bodies know who’s boss—particularly for those aged 55 and over. Karen Welsh will discuss effective ways to take charge through wellness of the mind, body and spirit.

Karen has over 30 years of skilled nursing and post-acute care experience with an extensive background in outcome management. She is currently with Functional Pathways, a private therapist-owned organization with more than 25 years of experience in serving senior living communities.
